it's over!

oedipus the king. once a title, now a script. once a topic, now an essay. once an assignment, now a closed file. once resentment, now happiness. once impossible, now reality.

i may have had regrets about my choice for selectives, but as far as tonight is concerned, i am so thankful that i chose this. the first ever time i was 'on stage', the first ever time i was not in props, the first ever time (since pri 3) i danced on stage.

and the first ever time i had such a big fluctuation in emotions. from anger, to saltiness, from disappointment, to happiness, from frowns, to smiles. to laughter. to screams and shouts.

thank you God for letting me choose this. thanks for making this play a selective. thanks so much for the crew, the cast, the backstage people (props sound lighting make up costume). for a production finalised in one week, it is a real amazement at how we fared.

no. excelled. i know those that turned up had their share of joys, laughter and sadness (after all, this is a tragedy right?) i'm happy that the 'tragedy' message got through.

for those who didnt think of coming, who 'conveniently' forgot to come, who didnt give us the support we needed, ask those who came. i can assure you, you missed it. either ways, thanks for NOT turning up. i may have been really happy to see you, but if you were not interested, i rather you not come. to make a promise and not commit to it... well...

we didnt lose anything! the show must go on, right?

those who came despite exams tomorrow, all the best and good luck for your exams!! zeus and apollo and artemis and athena and laius, oedipus, jocasta, creon etc etc will be with you.. muahaha.

the end of a great production =)

this blog is so dead.

haha, since the previous template 'expired', and cas never got to changing a new template, here i am, re-organising everything =)

sorry all the links are gone though... a million million apologies.

anyway, i'm currently working (in a group of 52) on a theatre play called Oedipus the King which is a Greek tragedy, as part of my selectives. yay, finally something un-medic. the performance date is set on 16th dec (this wednesday) and i can say we're putting our best in it? tickets are needed, but they are free of charge...

went to 'record' the 'soundtrack' for this play.. haha. well, we being the chorus should sing too right? =) spent 5 hours on it, singing 3 songs that barely add up to 5 minutes. exhausting, definitely, but also worth it. the screams and shouts of joy when we finally got our last song recorded as perfect as we could just gave me that feeling- contentment, satisfaction. our hard work learning the songs, singing and recording them all in 5 hours (an average of almost 2 hours a song) along with some lame people and more than a dozen big apple doughnuts will always be a great memory of mine. hehe.

and thanks to the doughnuts, i'm skipping dinner. full lah, haha. life after exams have been pretty relaxing, and i'm going back to kuching next week!! 21st dec, to be exact. muahaha i cant wait!! (although there's a slightly 'bigger' family reunion this time which...)

it's Happy Family time!!
