new year's eve

it is approximately 1045 pm now. 2007 has only approximately 1 hour 15 mins left. i'm not ready to let go of this year yet... i'm not ready to enter the mouse year... the university life.. leaving taylors... turning 18.... oh well.

my dvd rom's going to be changed again! apparently it reads discs really weirdly till it keeps lagging.. so i (mek typing: i drank my first can of coke for at least 2 years) brought it to hp again... (the place i lost my face) and it got back my face. the guy there couldnt believe his eyes n ears when he saw us.. AGAIN. and my 4th dvd rom will be arriving... kekekke... the guy blamed it on the software... didnt believe hp's dvd rom couldnt last for a month i guess... so he switched with a new dvd rom supposedly for another customer.. and... ta daa!! PERFECT. and he even more cant believe wad's happening so he kept changing scenes (from my The Myth's dvd) and nope... no cracklings, no jams, no lags. GREATO. so he tried to check (i think) if it was the mechanism problem i.e. connection not good etc... and he decided to put back my noob dvd rom. n... when he put in the disc.... my n daddy were praying for the lagging sound to come out again... and? i think hp kolien me for losing my face. so? TA DAAA... it lags! and the guy said 'bo li yiu le'... of course 'u li yiu la'. as u guys know.. anything coming into my hands.. surely will screw one.

dun believe? recollection of this year's electronic disasters:
1. sony ericsson k610i handphone.
i got this dec 2006. after spm lar.. yay got first hp so happy. however, soon after i got it.. weird signs start appearing... eg. codes like F4:2356 comes out where words are suppose to come out. another thing. my phone seemed to have a great affinity for the letter 'F'. you know why? the word 'Delete' comes out as 'Felete'. and so on. i remember there's another word being replaced but now at the spur of the moment... it's gone. that's about it.. besides the button silver thingy already scratched and corroded when this phone never actually DROPPED on the floor or kena water. what i must emphasise is... it kena a lot of urea. my sweat. kekekekeke.

2. Compaq Presario V3000.
supposedly a rather good laptop. according to where i bought it from, in midvalley. but... the WEEK after i bought it... problems creeping in... must list out la:
i. supposedly this laptop supports windows vis ta. so koko put in canggih vis ta ultimate for me. ok.. he took a week to get everything done. so he came over to unit z218 in jalan ss15/8 subang jaya. showed me how to go online etc etc... and everything was greaat. then? the next day, i couldnt go online. worse still, everytime i on the wireless button, the laptop JAMS. so? change. reformat. put in windows xp.
ii. then... hah! virus attack! all my keys start switching. if u remember my previous post.. i did mention about it. ok.. means? everything gone. blek. GONE!!! my downloads!!! how can this be???
iii. then... first time- dvd rom screwed. went to mid valley.. to prove it.. n the guy took it for a week! oklaa.. after that was ok...
iv. next.. web cam clashes... bought a logi tech webcam.. the moment i installed. computer no sound. always jam after windows start. the thing is.. it works perfectly on other same laptops. so? aih. so koko got to midvalley to ask wad wrong since after reformat still cant work. he got the driver for it! and meanwhile, i was stuck in the ktm in SUBANG for half an hour.. returning to the same spot after that. aih.
v. soon after.. dunno for wad reason.. dr watson post mortem debugger pops out. causing me to have no choice but to shut down everytime it comes out. this was baddd...
vi. later... reformat to get rid of dr watson... then i could go fishing with my laptop bc there was a WORM there. so? screwed again. no freaking sound. but i decided to ignore. anyway exams coming up soon. study ma...
vii. after exams... i was bored. but laptop still no sound. so? i bore with it. watched mute serials. eg: one litre of tears. hmm...
viii. go midvalley to ask y no sound. apparently it's still the driver thingy, so? problem solved.
ix. midvalley again bc install webcam no sound. so the guy taught me how to do. and i think he think i'm stupid. so he prt sc-ed the window and pasted it in paint with the instructions. yea.....
x. back in kch!!! er... the dvd rom cover kinda loose bc it was hard to pull the disc out. it half broke one day. vrooom to hp invent kch. service center la. the guy there broke it. and claimed a new one for me.
xi. new one came! but then.. it wouldnt fit perfectly. made a kinda big fuss abt it.. i did mention this too.
xii. went home. was very suspicious of the condition of the badly injured battery since it was so scratched. from our professional point of view, seems like it's not mine! and it couldnt charge. so...
xiii. back to hp invent. wad did we do? actually, i din do anything. a parent did it. quite loudly. there was a column. not even a row. wakakakaka. that was Grrrreat. but poor girl there kena marah for no reason. anyhow.. they tried to find my batt but it poofed. so daddy made an appointment with the supposed person in charge then turn out to the our makan stuff technician. n he wanted the new parts not to be opened ie in original packing. and called up the hp headquarter on advice how to distinguish btw genuine n fake parts.
xiv. the DAY comes. aih. i was actually planning to record the boat's big ROW but it din turn out that loud. anyhow, the new dvd rom and batt i got back... still from the packing. kekeke..
xv. then? i reformat laptop again due to the windows explorer thingy. it was ok with koko. when i got it back.. i on it... it came out again. baga. so we went to ask y the always-exist problem of windows explorer jam thingy keep popping out. n the guy asked us to leave the laptop there for a week. i gladly gave in.
xvi. after more than a week... we went to visit my nazak laptop.. occasionally calling in between to ask its condition. ok. apparently the guy changed my mother board. wadever it is la.. n installed kinda goodstuff for me. greato. so. everything seemed to be perfectly fine.
xvii. until the windows thingy came out AGAIN!! i got proof! but not now.. not using my laptop to blog. the pic is in my laptop. so the guy fed up already. dowan to help me anymore. ask me to reformat myself. so koko had a brainwave to put in vis ta premium. woosha. it works. greatly.
xviii. then? my new dvd rom screwed. this is really nonsense. 4th time to change this year. 3rd time to change in a month. so.. it was as described above.

ah. that's all. are u amazed? or did u even survive reading through the whole thing. now only left my hard disk and the casing never change.. the rest.. i dun know them, they dun know me. cheapp joke. oh ya.. when koko was installing vis ta, the hp headquarter called to do some survey. they were lucky bc the dvd rom haven spoil again. so we gave ok la comments. just satisfactory. but if they call again.. hehehe... chap lap la...

one more thing to say. i din want to say it bc it's so yuuu. but no choice. they ungkitkan perkara silam. i have to say. tat stupid dvd rom la. at home lag so we go to hp.. then there.. it chose to work perfectly. so my ngan min ho chuen ah.

3. nokia n73:
this.. er... worked fine with koko in kch. till i came back. and brought it to kl. oklaa.. not that bad. but it lagged so seriously. serious. then keep offing for no reason. and it eats up memory when i dun even save anything there! and when there's 2Gb memory card, when a message comes in, it says memory low. heck, it's not even full yet!! see? isnt it so noob.

4. sony ericsson w810i:
yea. changed with the baga boy. it worked quite well since it was with koko... but the batt wont charge till 100%. noob.

wah. isnt my electronic devices cool? i think it's something to do with z218. or kl. everything screwed there.

took almost an hour to type this. now it's 1140 dy. oh. courtesy of mek n daddy for extra info n details. haha.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVE!!! hopefully next year no more electronic catastrophes!
